MEET THE TEAM: Eric Jankowski

Eric Jankowski brings years of hands-on experience and a steady commitment to craftsmanship to Heartwood Renovations. A Wallingford, CT native, Eric graduated from the carpentry program at Wilcox Technical High School and started working in the field at just 16, joining a major restoration company early in his career. He continued his formal training through the American Builders and Contractors apprenticeship program in Connecticut and earned his journeyman carpenter license.

Over the years, Eric has led crews on complex restoration work across the state, including projects such as the historic Penfield Reef Lighthouse in Fairfield and the Richard C. Lee Courthouse in New Haven. With specialized training in lead abatement and removal, he’s known for careful execution, attention to detail, and a strong focus on jobsite safety.

Eric has a particular appreciation for window restoration—bringing historic features back to life and seeing the full transformation from start to finish. Outside of carpentry, he’s also an accomplished stained glass artist, creating custom pieces and offering repair work that adds another layer of craft to what he does.

When he’s not working, Eric is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan and spends his free time with his girlfriend, daughter, and their pets.
