MEET THE TEAM: Derrick Pelletier

Derrick Pelletier found his passion for hands-on work early. After graduating high school in 2002, he jumped into the trades with local contractors—doing whatever the job called for, from site work and digging to supporting heavy equipment crews. That early experience gave him a solid foundation and an appreciation for how a jobsite runs when it’s done right.

In 2003, Derrick joined a small homebuilding crew, where he was able to be involved in every phase of the work and learn directly from experienced pros. Over the next five years, his skill set grew quickly, and he became known for his attention to detail and high standards.

Derrick was promoted to Lead Carpenter and spent the next 12 years managing job sites and training new hires. His experience spans new home construction, kitchen and bath remodels, additions, and decks—always with a focus on clean execution and a well-run process.

In 2020, Derrick launched his own business, concentrating primarily on interior renovation work, especially kitchens and baths. By managing the full scope of his projects, he maintained tight quality control and delivered consistent results for his clients.

While he enjoyed running his own operation, Derrick missed being part of a team. In 2025, he joined Heartwood Renovations—bringing deep field experience, leadership on site, and the mindset of someone who takes pride in getting the details right.
