MEET THE TEAM: Carolina Escalante-Roy
Originally from Rhode Island, Carolina Escalante-Roy has been drawn to the visual arts from an early age. She attended St. Mary Academy – Bay View before earning her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of New Haven.
At Heartwood Renovations, Carolina plays a central role in keeping projects organized and moving smoothly. She coordinates team schedules, supports clients through key finish selections—plumbing and electrical fixtures, tile, appliances, and more—and helps manage communication across suppliers, designers, and architects. She also serves as a company liaison for building permits and town or city inspections.
Carolina brings deep industry experience to her role. She spent four years at an interior design showroom in downtown Hartford, where she built strong skills in specifying textiles, floor coverings, wall coverings, lighting, plumbing, furniture, and accessories for custom projects. She then worked for 11 years with a custom home builder in Farmington, CT, where her responsibilities included estimating, project bid proposals, cost tracking, and schedule management. Throughout her career, her favorite work has been guiding clients through selections and creating clear, steady communication between homeowners, builders, and vendors.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Carolina is known for her ability to manage details, build relationships, and keep everyone aligned—from clients and tradespeople to vendors and town officials.
Carolina lives in Simsbury, CT with her husband, two daughters, and dog. Outside of work, she enjoys family time and stays active in her community through school volunteering, PTO involvement, and youth sports organizations.
