MEET THE TEAM: Bryan Robertson
Bryan Robertson was born in Scotland and proudly calls West Hartford—and the U.S.—home. His path in woodworking began in Forfar, where he grew up, and led him to Buckinghamshire New University in England, where he studied furniture design and craftsmanship.
After school, Bryan moved to Edinburgh and worked for Ben Dawson Furniture, a respected maker known for designing and crafting the lecterns for the Scottish Parliament. Through that work, he traveled throughout the U.K. and Europe, contributing to projects for clients including the BBC and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2010, Bryan relocated to Connecticut with his Farmington-born wife to be closer to family. He began his career here with H & B Woodworking, a high-end custom woodworking company, where he trained directly under Lydia Witik—an interior designer, cabinetmaker, and furniture designer who has served Connecticut for more than 40 years. During his time there, Bryan worked in some of the finest homes across Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.
Over the years, he built strong relationships in the Connecticut construction and design community, ultimately bringing his experience and craftsmanship to Heartwood Renovations—where that background continues to show up in the details.
